SAU29 Announces Interim Director of Student Services

Adams holds a Master of Education – Special Education from Keene State College. She earned her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in 2018 from University of New England. Adams has been serving as Co-Interim Director of Student Services in addition to her role as the Special Education Administrator for the Town School Districts, a position she has held since 2022. Adams was named Co-Interim Director of Student Services following the resignation at the end of the 2022-2023 school year of Dr. Rick Matte, previous Director of Student Services since 2017.

Adams first joined SAU 29 in 2008 as a paraprofessional at Chesterfield School. She began her career as a special education teacher in 2010 serving first Chesterfield School and then Benjamin Franklin Elementary School in Keene (NH) where she also served as the Behavior Interventionist. Adams served as the Principal/Instructional Coach of the Harrisville-Wells Memorial School from 2018-2022. She also served as an adjunct faculty member at Keene State College from 2016-2021.

In her position, Ms. Adams will be responsible for the overall leadership of the Special Education and student services of the 7 independent school districts of SAU 29. Adams will oversee the Special Education staff and service providers that encompass the purview of the Student Services Department for SAU 29 and its sending districts.

Upon learning of her selection, Ms. Adams stated, “I am honored to lead the Student Services Department to best serve our students throughout SAU 29. I look forward to working with our dedicated school teams and local community members to promote a strong sense of belonging and an accessible, inclusive education for all.”
