Wednesday, October 23 Day 2

Today for lunch is Baked Chicken Tenders and Rice Pilaf

Student council will meet TODAY at 2:45 in room 1206. If you plan to run for the executive council please come prepared with your speech, see your email for more information. If you are unable to attend this meeting check-in with your clusters alternate and with Mrs. Larareo or Mr. Vernon.

The first Yearbook Club meeting will meet in Cluster A area on Thursday at 2:45. Also, a friendly reminder that there is one week left to order Yearbooks at the early bird price of $25. Please ask your homeroom teacher for another order form if you have lost yours or have your parents go on the Keene Middle School website to order online.

KMS Twirlers - Reminder Practice is TODAY at 2:45. Please wait in the cafeteria to be picked up.

The first World Language Club meeting will meet in room 1303 TODAY. Bring a friend. See you there!

Mr. Folsom would like to thank those students who have begun making posters for Red Ribbon Week. These should be completed and turned into the guidance office by next Monday the 28th. In addition, tomorrow morning, outside the cafeteria, and Monday and Tuesday mornings of next week, all students will have a chance to sign The Pledge “to live a happy lifestyle and live substance free.” Become a part of the healthy community you live in and sign the pledge!

The PC lab will be open after school TODAY until 3:15 for students who want to work together on the NH Cyber Robotics Boot Camp coding missions. Boot Camp ends October 27th and new Competition missions will open on the 28th.

Unfortunately the Peace and Justice Club cannot meet on Thursday. Ms. Stacey will announce the next meeting date soon.

7th and 8th grade art club will meet every Tuesday unless otherwise posted on the morning announcements. 7th grade will have an EXTRA art club meeting for kids finishing up their posters TODAY only!

Make-up Band sectionals are periods 1, 2, and 8 today. Remember to check in with your teacher before coming down. Honors Band students are reminded that recordings must be wrapped up by TODAY at the very latest. Practice rooms are closed after school tomorrow. Please plan accordingly.

VIOLA sectionals are today:
7th grade - period 1
8th grade - period 2
6th grade - period 8

Attention all fall athletes: Uniforms must be turned in to Mr. Fazio by Monday. Please make sure you drop them off in PE or to the main office.

The girls field hockey team finished their season yesterday with a 2-0 win over Jaffrey.  Congrats on a great season girls!

Winter sports registration is now active for those who intend to try out for basketball or wrestling. You can register online at keenecardinals.com and click on the athletic registration tab. The registration deadline is November 3rd. If you are not registered you will not be allowed to try out. Basketball Tryouts will begin November 6th and 7th. Wrestling tryouts will begin November 12th.
