Thursday, April 4 Day 6

Today for lunch is Pasta with Meat Sauce

Last year a group of KMS students collaborated with community organizers to increase the minimum sale age for tobacco and vaping products in Keene. KMS students presented a proposal to the Mayor and City Council who ultimately voted in favor of increasing the sale age to 21. This is how social change takes place, students engaging with community organizers and having their voices heard. Today, Kate McNally from the Cheshire Coalition for Tobacco Free Communities will be at all lunches to celebrate the hard work that was done. She will have a thank you card for students and staff to sign that will be delivered to the Mayor and City Council as a show of appreciation!

April is Poetry Month - Sign up to share a favorite poem on the morning announcements with a friend or two, or ask one of your teachers or guidance counselors to join you! We only have a few spots left. Mrs. Huntley can help you find a poem in the IMC's poetry collection or you can share your own original work.

A reception for " Skip the Straw" art made by KMS student artists will be held at the Keene Public Library on Saturday, April 6th at 2 pm. There will be refreshments and bamboo straws handed out. Come support your friends and join us!

Show Choir, Strings Club, and Jazz Band students are reminded that tonight is our concert and tomorrow is our assembly! Please be sure you know which concert dress to wear to which event. There are no sectionals today.

Attention Showchoir: Please meet tonight at 6:00 in the chorus room - dressed for the show! See Mrs. Butterfield if you have any questions!
