Wednesday, April 3 Day 5

Today for lunch is Chicken Tacos

Last year a group of KMS students collaborated with community organizers to increase the minimum sale age for tobacco and vaping products in Keene. KMS students presented a proposal to the Mayor and City Council who ultimately voted in favor of increasing the sale age to 21. This is how social change takes place, students engaging with community organizers and having their voices heard. On Thursday, Kate McNally from the Cheshire Coalition for Tobacco Free Communities will be at all lunches to celebrate the hard work that was done. She will have a thank you card for students and staff to sign that will be delivered to the Mayor and City Council as a show of appreciation!

April is Poetry Month - Sign up to share a favorite poem on the morning announcements with a friend or two, or ask one of your teachers or guidance counselors to join you! Mrs. Huntley can help you find a poem in the IMC's poetry collection or you can share your own original work.

A reception for " Skip the Straw" art made by KMS student artists will be held at the Keene Public Library on Saturday, April 6th at 2 pm. There will be refreshments and bamboo straws handed out. Come support your friends and join us!

Student Council should report to Mrs. Trubiano's room in the world language cluster today at 2:45. Do not go to the IMC, wait in the bus room until Ms. Stacey picks you up at 2:45.

There will be no lunches in the IMC today.

Dungeons and Dragons club is canceled this week. Students should go directly to the bus room or homework club.

All yearbook orders must be received today. There will be extra yearbooks for sale in June, but the only way to guarantee that you'll get a yearbook is to order one by the end of the day. Check the Yearbook folders in the hallway for order forms or see Ms. Day in Room 1104.

Strings Club will be starting the dress rehearsal on the stage at 2:30 today.

String sectional makeups are during periods 1, 2, and 8 today.

Band sectional make-ups are periods 1, 2, and 8 today. Please remember to check with your teacher before coming down.

Show Choir, Strings Club, and Jazz Band students are reminded that tomorrow night is our concert and Friday is our assembly! Please be sure you know which concert dress to wear to which event.
